Dust off your bell bottoms for a retro NYE to remember

Alright, alright, alright.

As we ring in 2023, we take inspiration from our building’s past. Fifty years ago, the historic Carriqui house was home to Boehler’s Garden–owned and operated by Aubrey Kline and his brothers. For four decades, Kline led the marketing efforts at Pearl Brewery–leading the charge to position Pearl beer as the beer of Texas. He reigned supreme and was affectionately known as “Mr. Pearl,” entertaining and hobnobbing with movie stars, politicians, and dignitaries. Upon his retirement from Pearl in 1972, he turned his attention to making Boehler’s Garden the place for a good time.

Carriqui’s NYE party will deliver one hell of a good time and pays homage to the 1970s (period attire encouraged, but not required). Join us as we solute 1970s South Texas and commemorate life in San Antonio fifty years ago
